Ivermectin Dosing Based on Weight

Ivermectin dosing is weight-based. The standard dose for most indications is 0.2mg per kilogram of body weight (200mcg/kg). For a 70kg adult, this equals 14mg β€” typically achieved with one 12mg tablet plus one 3mg tablet.

WHO-Approved Indications

The World Health Organization includes ivermectin on its List of Essential Medicines for the treatment of onchocerciasis (river blindness) and strongyloidiasis (intestinal threadworm). It is also widely used for scabies, including crusted (Norwegian) scabies.
