What is Perinorm 10mg?

Perinorm 10mg is an Indian brand of metoclopramide, a dopamine antagonist that helps the stomach empty. Each tablet contains metoclopramide 10 mg. It is made in India by Ipca Laboratories Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Reglan tablets (DailyMed), metoclopramide is used for symptomatic, documented gastroesophageal reflux in adults who have not responded to usual treatment (for 4 to 12 weeks), and relief of symptoms of acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis in adults. The US label carries a boxed warning that metoclopramide can cause tardive dyskinesia, a serious movement disorder that may be permanent; the risk rises with longer use and higher total dose, so treatment longer than 12 weeks should be avoided. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
