What is Hepcinat 400mg?

Hepcinat 400mg is an Indian brand of sofosbuvir, an antiviral medicine for hepatitis C. Each tablet contains sofosbuvir 400 mg. It is made in India by Natco Pharma Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Sovaldi (DailyMed), sofosbuvir is used for chronic hepatitis C (genotypes 1, 2, 3 or 4) in adults without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis, always as part of a combination regimen, and genotype 2 or 3 hepatitis C in children 3 years and older together with ribavirin. The US label carries a boxed warning that hepatitis B can reactivate in people who also carry hepatitis B, so everyone is tested for hepatitis B before starting. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
