What is Konaqueen 50mg?

Konaqueen 50mg is an Indian brand of fluconazole, an antifungal medicine. Each tablet contains fluconazole 50 mg. It is made in India by Kachhela Medex Pvt. Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Diflucan (DailyMed), fluconazole is used for vaginal yeast infection, yeast infections of the mouth, throat and esophagus, Candida urinary tract infection, peritonitis and serious body wide Candida infections, cryptococcal meningitis, and prevention of yeast infections in some bone marrow transplant patients. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.

Prescription status

Fluconazole needs a prescription in the US, UK, Australia and Canada for every use except a single 150 mg dose for vaginal thrush (and, in the UK, a partner's thrush of the penis), which can be bought from a pharmacy or without a prescription outside the US. Konaqueen 50mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
