Vidalista 5mg

Vidalista 5 is a tadalafil 5 mg tablet made in India by Centurion Laboratories. Five milligrams is the strength the tadalafil label uses for once daily treatment: one tablet at about the same time every day, so that sex does not have to be planned around a dose. The same daily 5 mg dose is also the labelled treatment for the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH). This page is written for men thinking about daily use. It covers what one month of treatment costs, what the daily-dose trials found, who should start lower or not use daily tadalafil at all, and how delivery works. Clinical figures come from the US prescribing information for Cialis (tadalafil) and the EU product information, listed at the end.

Price per tablet and per month

Prices below are as of October 2026; the pack selector shows the current price. Because the label dose is one tablet a day, a month of treatment is about 30 tablets, so the last column is the number that matters most for daily use.

The 300 pack is cheaper per tablet before shipping as well, and it also passes the $149 free shipping threshold. It is also ten months of tablets. Buy it only once you know daily tadalafil suits you: the EU label says the appropriateness of continued daily use should be reassessed periodically, and a smaller pack is enough to find out. Check the expiry date on the strips when your order arrives and make sure you will use the tablets before it.

Vidalista 5 compared with Cialis and US generics

Vidalista 5, Cialis 5 mg and FDA-approved generic tadalafil 5 mg contain the same molecule at the same labelled strength. Cialis was approved on clinical trial evidence, US generics had to prove bioequivalence to it, and the FDA inspects how both are made. Vidalista has not been assessed by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada.

The Cialis and generic figures are what US pharmacies paid per tablet according to the Medicaid NADAC survey (every generic tadalafil 5 mg row in the NADAC file effective 21 October 2026 was $0.10776 a tablet; Cialis 5 mg was $9.21391). The price at the counter is higher and depends on the pharmacy and your insurance, but generic tadalafil 5 mg is widely available in the US. Daily or as needed: is 5 mg the right choice?

Tadalafil can be used two ways for erectile dysfunction. Taken as needed, the label starts most men on 10 mg before sex. Taken once daily, it uses a much lower dose every day, so there is always some tadalafil in the blood and sex does not need to be timed to a tablet. The EU label says daily use "might be considered suitable" for men who expect to have sex at least twice a week, based on the patient's choice and the doctor's judgement.

• Daily use may suit you if you have sex at least twice a week, dislike planning around a dose, or also have urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate.
• As-needed use may suit you better if you have sex less often. You take fewer tablets, and one tablet still covers a long window: in a label trial of 20 mg, success rates were still above placebo about 36 hours after a dose. See Vidalista 10 and Vidalista 20.
• Do not combine the two. Do not take an extra as-needed tablet on top of your daily one. The label says no more than one dose a day.

Which Vidalista strength to choose

The tadalafil label uses 2.5 mg and 5 mg for once daily treatment, and 5 mg to 20 mg for use as needed, with 20 mg as the maximum. The EU label says 10 mg and 20 mg are intended for use before sex and are not recommended for continuous daily use.

In the US label, daily treatment for ED starts at 2.5 mg and moves to 5 mg "based on individual efficacy and tolerability". The EU label works the other way round: 5 mg first, down to 2.5 mg if side effects are a problem. Either way, 5 mg is the top of the daily range. What the daily-dose trials found

The US label describes three placebo-controlled trials of daily tadalafil for ED, with 853 men in total. Timing of sex was not restricted, and food and alcohol were allowed.

The label adds that in the 6-month trial the effect did not fade over time. In a separate trial of 298 men with diabetes, scores rose by 4.5 points on 5 mg against 1.3 on placebo. The EU label notes that most men in these first three trials had already responded to tadalafil or another PDE5 inhibitor taken as needed. In a later trial of 217 men who had never used a PDE5 inhibitor, 68% of sex attempts were successful on 5 mg daily against 52% on placebo.

For BPH, two 12-week US label trials found that 5 mg daily lowered the prostate symptom score (IPSS) by 4.8 and 5.6 points, against 2.2 and 3.6 on placebo. In men with both ED and BPH, symptom scores fell by 6.1 against 3.8, and erectile function scores rose by 6.5 against 1.9. Urine flow rate rose by a similar amount on tadalafil and placebo. How to take Vidalista 5

• Take one tablet at about the same time every day, with or without food. For ED, you do not need to time it around sex, but sexual stimulation is still needed for an erection.
• Swallow it whole. The Cialis label says: "Do not split CIALIS tablets; entire dose should be taken."
• If you miss a dose, take it when you remember, but never more than one tablet a day. The EU leaflet says not to take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.
• Blood levels build up over the first few days: steady levels are reached within 5 days, about 1.6 times the level after a single dose. Give it time before judging whether it works, and discuss the result with your doctor.
• Avoid heavy drinking. The label warns that 5 or more units of alcohol with tadalafil can raise the chance of dizziness, a faster heart rate, a fall in blood pressure on standing, and headache. Because daily use keeps tadalafil in the blood all the time, this applies on any day you drink, not only near a dose.
• For BPH, the label asks doctors to rule out other urinary conditions first, including prostate cancer, which can exist alongside BPH. If tadalafil is started together with finasteride, the label recommends the combination for up to 26 weeks.

Lower doses or no daily use for some men

Daily use means tadalafil is in the blood around the clock. The US label asks doctors to keep that in mind with nitrates, alpha blockers, blood pressure medicines, potent CYP3A4 inhibitors and heavy drinking.

• Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole or ritonavir: the maximum daily dose is 2.5 mg, so Vidalista 5 is not suitable for daily use with these medicines. Erythromycin, clarithromycin (EU label) and grapefruit juice are also likely to raise tadalafil levels. Medicines such as rifampin do the opposite: rifampin cut tadalafil exposure by 88%.
• Kidney impairment: in label studies, tadalafil exposure doubled at creatinine clearance of 30 to 80 mL/min. Below 30 mL/min or on dialysis (US label), or with severe kidney impairment (EU label), daily tadalafil is not recommended. For BPH, or ED with BPH, at 30 to 50 mL/min the US label starts at 2.5 mg daily and allows 5 mg based on response, so Vidalista 5 is not suitable as the starting dose for this group.
• Liver impairment: the US label says daily use has not been extensively evaluated in mild or moderate liver impairment, so caution is advised; the EU label says it has not been evaluated and asks the prescriber for a careful benefit and risk assessment. In severe liver impairment the US label does not recommend tadalafil.
• Alpha blockers (for example doxazosin, tamsulosin or alfuzosin): for ED, the US label says to be stable on the alpha blocker first, then start at the lowest recommended dose, which for daily use is 2.5 mg, so Vidalista 5 is not suitable as a starting dose. For BPH, the US label does not recommend tadalafil with an alpha blocker, and says men taking one for BPH should stop it at least one day before starting daily tadalafil; that is a decision for your doctor. The UK and EU label says the combination of tadalafil and doxazosin is not recommended, because it can lower blood pressure enough to cause fainting.
• Blood pressure medicines: tadalafil can add to their effect. The EU label says that when daily tadalafil is started, a possible adjustment of the blood pressure medicine should be considered.
• Age: no dose change is needed for age alone. The EU label notes that in BPH trials of 5 mg daily, dizziness and diarrhoea were reported more often in men over 75.

Side effects of daily 5 mg

These rates come from the three 12-week placebo-controlled trials of daily tadalafil for ED in the US label (Table 2). Rows are selected from the label table.

Across three placebo-controlled trials of daily tadalafil for ED lasting 12 or 24 weeks, 4.1% of men on tadalafil stopped because of side effects, against 2.8% on placebo. In the label's daily-use studies, back pain and muscle aches were generally mild or moderate, and fewer than 1% stopped because of them. Changes in colour vision were rare (under 0.1% of patients across all studies); the label describes the effect as dose related, and it can impair the ability to tell blue from green.

When to get urgent help

• An erection lasting more than 4 hours, whether painful or not. Without prompt treatment it can permanently damage the penis and cause lasting erectile dysfunction.
• Sudden loss or reduction of vision in one or both eyes. Stop taking tadalafil and get medical help straight away.
• Sudden loss or reduction of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears or dizziness. Stop taking tadalafil and get prompt medical attention.
• Chest pain or other symptoms when starting sex: stop and get medical help right away.
• Fainting, or swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a rash, hives or blistering skin.
• If you take more than one tablet in a day, contact a doctor straight away.

If you need emergency care for chest pain, tell the staff that you take daily tadalafil, how much, and when you took the last tablet. The label says at least 48 hours should pass after the last dose before a nitrate is considered, even in a life-threatening situation, and only with close monitoring. That 48-hour figure comes from a study of 20 mg taken daily for 7 days. On daily treatment, the 48 hours count from your last tablet.

Who should not take Vidalista 5

Never take it if:

• You use nitrates in any form, regularly or now and then, including nitroglycerin sprays, tablets or patches for angina, and amyl or butyl nitrite "poppers" (contraindicated in the US and EU labels).
• You take a guanylate cyclase stimulator such as riociguat (US and EU labels).
• You have had a serious allergic reaction to tadalafil, or are allergic to any ingredient of the tablet. Serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and exfoliative dermatitis, have been reported.
• Your heart condition makes sex inadvisable. These groups were not included in the trials: heart attack in the last 90 days, unstable angina or angina during sex, heart failure (NYHA class 2 or worse) in the last 6 months, uncontrolled arrhythmias, blood pressure below 90/50, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a stroke in the last 6 months. The UK and EU Cialis label lists these groups as contraindications; the US label says tadalafil is not recommended for them.
• You have lost vision in one eye from NAION (a sudden loss of blood flow to the optic nerve). The UK and EU label lists this as a contraindication; the US label says to use tadalafil only with caution, when the expected benefits outweigh the risks.

Heart attack, sudden cardiac death and stroke have been reported in men taking tadalafil, mostly in men who already had heart risk factors, and many during or soon after sex.

Avoid, or use only after talking to a doctor: do not combine Vidalista with Adcirca (tadalafil for pulmonary hypertension), another PDE5 inhibitor, or other erectile dysfunction treatments; the US label says to tell patients not to take tadalafil with other PDE5 inhibitors. The label does not recommend tadalafil for men with hereditary retinal disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa. Talk to a doctor first if you have aortic stenosis or another obstruction to blood flow out of the heart, a deformed penis (angulation, cavernosal fibrosis or Peyronie's disease), a condition that raises the risk of prolonged erections (sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma, leukaemia), a bleeding disorder or an active stomach ulcer. Vidalista is for adult men only, and it does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.

Prescription and legal status

Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in the US, Australia and Canada, and in the UK apart from Cialis Together 10 mg, which pharmacies can sell after a consultation; daily 5 mg tadalafil needs a prescription in all four countries. The PharmEasy listing in India also marks Vidalista 5 as prescription-only. Vidalista is not licensed by the FDA, the MHRA, the TGA or Health Canada. In the US, the FDA says personal importation of unapproved medicines is illegal in most circumstances. Daily tadalafil is a long-term treatment, so see a doctor before starting it, especially if you have heart disease, kidney or liver problems, urinary symptoms that have not been checked, or take regular medicines, and check the rules where you live before ordering.

Buying genuine Vidalista

The MHRA warning covers Vidalista, because it is not authorised for sale in the UK. The MHRA says: "Any medicine not authorised for sale in the UK can be unsafe or ineffective and there is no way of knowing what is in them or the negative health effects they can have." It warns that erectile dysfunction pills bought online may contain no active ingredient, the wrong dose, hidden drugs or toxic ingredients, and that unlicensed erectile dysfunction medicines can be especially dangerous for people with heart disease, high blood pressure, or those taking other medications. It advises UK buyers to use only UK-registered pharmacies, including online pharmacies displaying the official green cross logo.

When your order arrives, check that each strip names Centurion Laboratories, tadalafil 5 mg, a batch number and an expiry date, and reject strips that are damaged, unsealed or unmarked. These checks cannot prove a product is genuine, because counterfeiters copy packaging. If a batch causes unusual symptoms, stop using it, seek medical advice, and report it to your medicines regulator (the MHRA Yellow Card scheme in the UK, FDA MedWatch in the US, the TGA in Australia or Health Canada) as well as to us.
