Bimatoprost 0.03% is the active ingredient in Latisse, the only FDA-approved prescription treatment for eyelash growth, and in Lumigan, one of the leading medications for glaucoma and elevated intraocular pressure. Both are the same molecule at the same concentration. What differs is the price. Branded Latisse in the US runs around $150 to $180 per 3ml bottle. Generic Careprost from Sun Pharmaceutical, the same manufacturer that supplies major pharmacy chains, is under $10 per 3ml bottle at SafeRxPills. That is roughly a 90% saving for identical Bimatoprost content.

Latisse Generic is a direct alternative to the branded Latisse at a fraction of the cost. Lumigan 0.03% is the branded original from Allergan for glaucoma treatment. Lashisma is another generic Bimatoprost in eye drop format.

How Bimatoprost grows eyelashes

Bimatoprost is a synthetic prostaglandin analogue. When applied to the upper lash line, it extends the anagen (growth) phase of the eyelash cycle, so lashes grow longer, thicker, and darker before shedding. Visible results typically appear at 4 to 6 weeks. Full results at 12 to 16 weeks. Stopping application gradually returns lashes to their previous state over several months, so it is a maintenance treatment, not a one-time fix.

How to apply Careprost for eyelash growth

Once daily in the evening, on a clean, dry face. Place one drop on a fine eyeliner brush or cotton applicator, then draw a line along the upper lash line at the base of the lashes. Do not apply to the lower lash line. Do not put drops directly in the eye when using for lash growth. Wait 15 minutes before applying moisturizer. Storage and shelf life

Store Careprost at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 12 weeks. Unopened bottles have a shelf life printed on the box, typically 18 to 24 months. If the solution changes colour or you notice particles, discard it.
