What is Bistide 3mg?

Bistide 3mg is an Indian brand of plecanatide, a guanylate cyclase C agonist. Each tablet contains plecanatide 3 mg. It is made in India by Zydus Lifesciences.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Trulance (DailyMed), plecanatide is used for chronic idiopathic constipation and irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) in adults. The US label carries a boxed warning that it must not be given to children under 6 years old because of the risk of serious dehydration, and should be avoided in anyone under 18. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
