What is Recopress 500mg?

Recopress 500mg is an Indian brand of disulfiram, an alcohol deterrent medicine. Each tablet contains disulfiram 500 mg. It is made in India by Leeford Pharma Pvt Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for disulfiram tablets (DailyMed), disulfiram is used for helping selected people with chronic alcohol problems who want to stay in a state of enforced sobriety, alongside supportive and psychological treatment; the label says it is unlikely to change drinking on its own without motivation and support. The US label carries a boxed warning that disulfiram must never be given to someone who is intoxicated with alcohol or without their full knowledge. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
