What is Thyrolio 25mcg?

Thyrolio 25mcg is an Indian brand of liothyronine, a thyroid hormone (T3). Each tablet contains liothyronine 25 mcg. It is made in India by Actiza Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Cytomel (DailyMed), liothyronine is used for replacing thyroid hormone in hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid), as an add on to surgery and radioiodine to suppress TSH in well differentiated thyroid cancer, and as a diagnostic agent in thyroid suppression tests. The US label carries a boxed warning that thyroid hormones must not be used to treat obesity or for weight loss, and that larger doses can cause serious or life threatening toxicity. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
