About Tigican 50mg
What is Tigican 50mg?
Tigican 50mg is an Indian brand of tigecycline, a tetracycline class (glycylcycline) antibiotic. Each vial contains tigecycline 50 mg as a powder to be made up for intravenous infusion. It is made in India by Healing Pharma.
What it is used for
According to the US FDA label for Tygacil (DailyMed), tigecycline is used for complicated skin and skin structure infections, complicated intra abdominal infections and community acquired bacterial pneumonia caused by susceptible bacteria in patients 18 years and older; it is not for diabetic foot infection or hospital acquired pneumonia. The US label carries a boxed warning about higher all cause mortality than comparator antibiotics and says it should be kept for situations where other treatments are not suitable. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
Packs and price
Tigican 50mg comes in packs of 1, 3, 5 and 10 vials. The lowest price works out at about $12.50 per vial on the 10 vial pack, as of October 2026; the pack selector shows the current price. Shipping is $25 on orders under $149 and free from $149.
Prescription status
Tigecycline injection is a prescription medicine in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. Tigican 50mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
Before you order
This medicine is given by injection in a hospital or clinic by trained staff; it is not meant for self injection. Read the patient leaflet that comes with the pack.
