About Zurig 80mg
What is Zurig 80mg?
Zurig 80mg is an Indian brand of febuxostat, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that lowers uric acid. Each tablet contains febuxostat 80 mg. It is made in India by Zydus Cadila Pharma.
What it is used for
According to the US FDA label for Uloric (DailyMed), febuxostat is used for long term lowering of uric acid in adults with gout who did not respond well enough to the highest suitable dose of allopurinol, cannot tolerate allopurinol, or should not take it; it is not for high uric acid without symptoms. The US label carries a boxed warning: in a study of gout patients with heart disease, those taking febuxostat had a higher rate of cardiovascular death than those taking allopurinol. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
Packs and price
Zurig 80mg comes in packs of 30, 60 and 90 tablets. The lowest price works out at about $0.97 per tablet on the 90 tablet pack, as of October 2026; the pack selector shows the current price. Shipping is $25 on orders under $149 and free from $149.
Prescription status
Febuxostat is a prescription medicine in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. Zurig 80mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
Before you order
Read the patient leaflet that comes with the pack. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you take and any health conditions you have. Get urgent medical help if you notice signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, trouble breathing, or a widespread rash.

Muscle Relaxers Compared: Cyclobenzaprine, Tizanidine, Baclofen and Carisoprodol
Cyclobenzaprine and carisoprodol treat short lived muscle spasm. Baclofen and tizanidine treat spasticity. This comparison puts all four side by side using placebo controlled sedation rates, dosing ceilings, interaction risk and what the long term evidence supports.

Cyclobenzaprine Dosage: 5 mg vs 10 mg and the Three Week Limit
Cyclobenzaprine is dosed at 5 mg three times daily, raised to 10 mg if needed, for two to three weeks at most. Trial data shows drowsiness rising from 19 to 28 points over placebo when the dose doubles, which is the case for starting low.

Tizanidine Dosage and the Drug Interactions That Change It
Tizanidine starts at 2 mg every six to eight hours and tops out at 36 mg daily, but interactions usually decide the ceiling. Ciprofloxacin raises exposure tenfold and fluvoxamine thirty three fold, and both combinations are contraindicated.
