About Cytomid 250mg
What is Cytomid 250mg?
Cytomid 250mg is an Indian brand of flutamide, a non steroidal anti androgen. Each tablet contains flutamide 250 mg. It is made in India by Cipla Limited.
What it is used for
According to the UK SmPC for flutamide 250 mg tablets (emc), flutamide is used for advanced prostate cancer where blocking the effects of testosterone is needed: as first treatment together with an LHRH agonist, as an add on in men already taking an LHRH agonist, in men who have had surgical castration, and in men who have not responded to or cannot tolerate other hormone treatment. The US label for flutamide capsules carries a boxed warning about liver injury: hospital stays and, rarely, deaths from liver failure have been reported, so liver blood tests are needed before starting and regularly during treatment. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
Packs and price
Cytomid 250mg comes in packs of 30, 60 and 90 tablets. The lowest price works out at about $0.41 per tablet on the 90 tablet pack, as of October 2026; the pack selector shows the current price. Shipping is $25 on orders under $149 and free from $149.
Prescription status
Flutamide is a prescription medicine in the US and UK. In the US it comes as capsules. Cytomid 250mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
Before you order
Read the patient leaflet that comes with the pack. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you take and any health conditions you have. Get urgent medical help if you notice signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, trouble breathing, or a widespread rash.
Delivery
Orders usually arrive in 7 to 14 business days in plain packaging, with a tracking number.
