About Dejac-T
Dejac-T is a combination tablet from India sold by Intas Pharmaceuticals. Each tablet contains tadalafil 10 mg for erectile dysfunction and dapoxetine 30 mg for premature ejaculation; the "40mg" shown as the strength on our listing is the two doses added together. We sell it in packs of 32, 60 and 92 tablets, from $2.23 a tablet in the largest pack.
Read this before ordering: the European dapoxetine (Priligy) product information says dapoxetine should not be used in men taking PDE5 inhibitors such as tadalafil, because together they may cause a drop in blood pressure on standing, and that the safety and efficacy of the combination have not been established. Dejac-T puts both in one tablet. It is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, EMA, TGA or Health Canada. This page sets out what that means, who should not take it, how it is taken, and the price per tablet. Clinical figures come from the US Cialis label, the UK Cialis product information, the Priligy product information and Indian regulator records, listed at the end.

Compared with Cialis, generic tadalafil and Priligy
Dejac-T has no direct US equivalent, because the FDA has not approved dapoxetine or any tadalafil and dapoxetine combination. The tadalafil half can be compared.

| Cost per tablet | $2.23 to $2.50 from us, before shipping | $53.69 paid by US pharmacies | About $0.15 paid by US pharmacies | No US price |
The Cialis and generic figures are what US pharmacies paid per tablet according to the Medicaid NADAC survey (data as of 7 October 2026); the price at the counter is higher and depends on the pharmacy and your insurance. Cialis was approved on clinical trial evidence, and US generics had to prove bioequivalence to it. If you are in the US and your main problem is erections, compare cash prices for FDA-approved generic tadalafil with your prescription. Our generic Cialis guide covers doses and costs.
Do you have both conditions?
The Priligy product information limits dapoxetine to men with diagnosed premature ejaculation: ejaculation less than two minutes after penetration, happening with minimal stimulation and before the man wishes, in most attempts over the last six months, with poor control and marked distress or relationship difficulty. It says dapoxetine should not be prescribed simply to delay ejaculation in men without that diagnosis. It also says other forms of sexual dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction, should be carefully investigated first. Some men with weak erections rush to finish before the erection fades; that looks like premature ejaculation but is an erection problem, and a tadalafil-only tablet such as Vidalista 10 may be all that is needed. Dapoxetine does nothing for erections, and erectile dysfunction is listed among its own common side effects.
What the dapoxetine label says about this combination
- The European Priligy product information says dapoxetine should not be used in men with erectile dysfunction who are using PDE5 inhibitors such as tadalafil, because together they may cause a drop in blood pressure on standing (orthostatic hypotension).
- It says the efficacy and safety of dapoxetine with a PDE5 inhibitor have not been established.
- In a single dose interaction study (dapoxetine 60 mg with tadalafil 20 mg), tadalafil did not affect dapoxetine levels; the concern is the effect of the two together on blood pressure.
- One trial offers some reassurance. In 495 men with both conditions who were already stable on a PDE5 inhibitor, adding dapoxetine at a flexible 30 or 60 mg dose for 12 weeks raised the average (arithmetic mean) time to ejaculation to 5.2 minutes against 3.4 minutes on placebo, with side effects in 29.6% against 20.0%.
That trial used separate tablets in men whose erections were already working on their PDE5 inhibitor. The product information was last revised in 2021, after this trial, and still says the combination's safety and efficacy have not been established. India's expert committee reviewed a company's clinical trial and bioequivalence results before recommending tadalafil with dapoxetine tablets in 2019; we have not found that trial published, and we have found no trial of Dejac-T itself.
Where the doses sit
| Drug | Label starting dose | Label maximum | In Dejac-T |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tadalafil (as needed) | 10 mg for most men (5 mg for some groups) | 20 mg, once a day | 10 mg |
| Dapoxetine | 30 mg for every patient | 60 mg, once in 24 hours | 30 mg |
Both halves are at the label starting doses, which sets Dejac-T apart from many tadalafil and dapoxetine tablets that carry 60 mg of dapoxetine. The Priligy product information says treatment should not be started with 60 mg, so we would not recommend a 60 mg combination such as Super Vidalista (tadalafil 20 mg with dapoxetine 60 mg) for a man who has not taken dapoxetine before. Moving to 60 mg is a decision for your doctor, not one to make yourself. In the label's 24 week placebo-controlled trial, the median average time to ejaculation was 1.72 minutes on 30 mg against 1.05 minutes on placebo (1.91 minutes on 60 mg). Men with erectile dysfunction were excluded from that trial. For tadalafil, the EMA review found the difference between 10 mg and 20 mg statistically significant but "rather marginal". Our dapoxetine dosage guide has the details.
How to take Dejac-T
- Swallow one tablet whole with a full glass of water 1 to 3 hours before sex, with or without food. Do not split or chew it. The dapoxetine label sets the 1 to 3 hour window; tadalafil should be taken at least 30 minutes before sex.
- Do not drink alcohol. The Priligy product information says to avoid alcohol, which can increase dizziness, drowsiness, slowed reflexes and impaired judgement and may make fainting more likely. The tadalafil label adds that 5 or more units of alcohol can lower standing blood pressure and cause dizziness, a faster heart rate and headache.
- Do not take it with recreational drugs. Ecstasy (MDMA), ketamine or LSD can cause serotonin syndrome or heart rhythm problems with dapoxetine, and opioids or benzodiazepines add to drowsiness and dizziness.
- Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice for 24 hours before a dose. It raises dapoxetine levels and is likely to raise tadalafil levels.
- Take no more than one tablet in 24 hours, and never with any other erectile dysfunction treatment (daily tadalafil, Adcirca, sildenafil, vardenafil or avanafil) or another dapoxetine product. Dapoxetine is meant to be taken only when sex is planned, not every day.
- Remember that tadalafil needs sexual stimulation to work. In one label study, 38% of men on 10 mg and 52% on 20 mg had a successful erection within 30 minutes, against 35% on placebo.
Tadalafil has a half-life of 17.5 hours, and the label says it improved erectile function for up to 36 hours after a dose in studies of 10 mg and 20 mg. Dapoxetine works over a much shorter window: its levels fall quickly after the first few hours, which is why it is timed 1 to 3 hours before sex.
Groups for whom Dejac-T is not suitable
- Alpha blockers (for example doxazosin, tamsulosin or alfuzosin): the US tadalafil label says be stable on the alpha blocker first, then start at the lowest recommended dose, which is 5 mg, so Dejac-T is not suitable as a starting product. The UK and EU tadalafil label does not recommend tadalafil with doxazosin at all, because of the risk of fainting, and the dapoxetine label asks for caution with alpha blockers.
- Kidney impairment: tadalafil exposure doubled in people with creatinine clearance of 30 to 80 mL/min. With 30 to 50 mL/min, the tadalafil label advises starting at 5 mg and taking no more than 10 mg once every 48 hours. Below 30 mL/min or on dialysis, the tadalafil maximum is 5 mg once every 72 hours, and dapoxetine is not recommended in severe kidney impairment, so Dejac-T is not suitable.
- Liver impairment: dapoxetine is contraindicated in moderate or severe liver impairment. With mild impairment, tadalafil should not exceed 10 mg a day.
- Moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, fluconazole, verapamil and diltiazem: they raise dapoxetine levels, the label limits dapoxetine to 30 mg and advises caution, and the tadalafil label says erythromycin and clarithromycin are likely to raise tadalafil levels too. Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors are a contraindication (see below).
- CYP3A4 inducers such as rifampin cut tadalafil exposure by 88%, so tadalafil may not work as expected.
- Blood pressure medicines: tadalafil can add to their blood pressure lowering effect, and dapoxetine adds a risk of fainting.
- Age 65 and over: the Priligy label says dapoxetine's efficacy and safety have not been established in this group, and it is indicated only up to age 64.
Side effects
Each drug brings its own side effects, and headache is common to both. The tadalafil rates come from the eight main placebo-controlled trials of tadalafil taken as needed; the dapoxetine rates come from its phase 3 trials, which the product information reports without matching placebo figures. No trial has reported side effect rates for Dejac-T itself.
| Drug and dose | Selected common side effects |
|---|---|
| Tadalafil 10 mg | Headache 11%, indigestion 8%, back pain 5%, muscle aches 4%, nasal congestion 3%, flushing 3%, pain in a limb 3% |
| Placebo in the same trials | Headache 5%, indigestion 1%, back pain 3%, muscle aches 1%, nasal congestion 1%, flushing 1%, pain in a limb 1% |
| Dapoxetine 30 mg | Nausea 11.0%, dizziness 5.8%, headache 5.6%, diarrhoea 3.5%, insomnia 2.1%, fatigue 2.0% |
| Dapoxetine 60 mg, for comparison | Nausea 22.2%, dizziness 10.9%, headache 8.8%, diarrhoea 6.9%, insomnia 3.9%, fatigue 4.1% |
Tadalafil back pain and muscle aches usually started 12 to 24 hours after a dose and settled within 48 hours. Changes in colour vision, which can impair the ability to tell blue from green, were reported in under 0.1% of patients; the label describes this effect as dose related. Our dapoxetine side effects guide covers the dapoxetine data in full.
Fainting
Dapoxetine can cause fainting, sometimes with a very slow heartbeat. In the placebo-controlled phase 3 trials it happened in 0.06% of men on 30 mg and 0.23% on 60 mg, mostly within 3 hours of a dose and often after the first dose. Nausea, dizziness, light-headedness or sweating often came first, but fainting can also happen with or without these warning signs. If you notice them, lie down with your head lower than your body, or sit with your head between your knees, until they pass, and do not drive. Drink enough fluids, and do not stand up quickly after lying or sitting for a long time.
Tadalafil also causes mild, short-lived falls in blood pressure, and the dapoxetine label says dapoxetine should not be used with PDE5 inhibitors such as tadalafil because together they may cause a drop in blood pressure on standing. It asks doctors to check blood pressure and pulse lying and standing before the first dose.
When to get urgent help
- Fainting, chest pain, or severe dizziness during or after sex. If chest pain starts during sex, stop and get medical help right away.
- An erection lasting more than 4 hours, whether painful or not. Without prompt treatment it can permanently damage the penis and cause lasting erectile dysfunction.
- Sudden loss or reduction of vision in one or both eyes. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away.
- Sudden loss or reduction of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears or dizziness. Stop taking it and get prompt medical attention.
- Agitation, confusion, fever, sweating or muscle twitching after taking it with another serotonin-acting medicine or a recreational drug (possible serotonin syndrome).
- A seizure. Stop taking it.
- Swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a rash, hives or blistering skin.
- If you take more than one tablet, contact a doctor or emergency department straight away.
Tell emergency staff that you took tadalafil and dapoxetine, how much and when. Because tadalafil lasts so long, the label says at least 48 hours should pass after the last dose before a nitrate is considered, even in a life-threatening situation, and only with close monitoring.
Who should not take Dejac-T
Never take it if any of these apply:
- You use nitrates in any form, regularly or occasionally, including nitroglycerin sprays, tablets or patches and amyl or butyl nitrite "poppers" (contraindication in the tadalafil label).
- You take a guanylate cyclase stimulator such as riociguat (tadalafil label).
- You are allergic to tadalafil, dapoxetine or any ingredient of the tablet (both labels).
- You have heart failure (NYHA class II to IV), heart conduction problems such as AV block or sick sinus syndrome, significant ischaemic heart disease or significant heart valve disease, or a history of fainting (Priligy label).
- You have had mania or severe depression (Priligy label).
- You take antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclics, MAOIs), thioridazine, or other serotonin-acting medicines such as triptans, tramadol, linezolid, lithium, L-tryptophan or St John's wort, or stopped one within the last 14 days. Do not start one of these within 7 days of your last dose (Priligy label).
- You take a potent CYP3A4 inhibitor such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, saquinavir, telithromycin, nefazodone, nelfinavir or atazanavir (Priligy label).
- You have moderate or severe liver impairment (Priligy label).
- You had a heart attack in the last 90 days or a stroke in the last 6 months, have unstable angina or angina during sex, heart failure (NYHA class 2 or worse) in the last 6 months, uncontrolled arrhythmias, blood pressure below 90/50 or uncontrolled high blood pressure. These are contraindications in the UK and EU tadalafil label; the US label says tadalafil is not recommended for these groups.
- You have lost vision in one eye from NAION (a sudden loss of blood flow to the optic nerve). This is a contraindication in the UK and EU tadalafil label; the US label says to use tadalafil only with caution, when the expected benefits outweigh the risks.
The Priligy label also says dapoxetine should not be used, or should be avoided, in these situations:
- With a PDE5 inhibitor such as tadalafil, which is what Dejac-T contains.
- After a documented or suspected drop in blood pressure on standing; treatment should be avoided.
- With a history of mania, hypomania or bipolar disorder, with schizophrenia, or with current depression. Do not stop an antidepressant in order to take dapoxetine, and stop and see a doctor if low mood develops.
- Under 18 years of age. It is indicated only from 18 to 64.
- With epilepsy that is not well controlled; stop after any seizure.
Heart attack, sudden cardiac death and stroke have been reported in men taking tadalafil, mostly in men who already had heart risk factors, and many during or soon after sex. Talk to a doctor first if you have aortic stenosis, a deformed penis (angulation or Peyronie's disease), a condition that raises the risk of prolonged erections (sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma, leukaemia), retinitis pigmentosa (the US label does not recommend tadalafil), controlled epilepsy, raised eye pressure or a risk of angle-closure glaucoma, a bleeding disorder or an active stomach ulcer, or if you take warfarin or other blood thinners, antiplatelet medicines, aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers, or other medicines that act on the brain. Dejac-T does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.
Prescription and legal status
Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in the US, Australia and Canada, and in the UK apart from Cialis Together 10 mg, which pharmacies can sell after a consultation. Dapoxetine is prescription-only in the UK and Australia, where it is licensed as Priligy; the FDA and Health Canada have not approved it. No tadalafil and dapoxetine combination is licensed by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada, and Dejac-T is not licensed in any of these countries. In India, the Drugs Controller General approved tadalafil with dapoxetine tablets (20 mg + 60 mg, 20 mg + 30 mg and 10 mg + 30 mg) on 23 July 2019 for co-existing erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64; the expert committee that recommended it said it should be sold on the prescription of urologists or psychiatrists only. In the US, the FDA says personal importation of unapproved medicines is illegal in most circumstances. See a doctor before using it and check the rules where you live.
Buying genuine Dejac-T
The MHRA warns that any medicine not authorised for sale in the UK can be unsafe or ineffective, and that erectile dysfunction pills bought online may contain no active ingredient, the wrong dose, hidden drugs or toxic ingredients. That warning covers Dejac-T, which is not authorised in the UK, and the MHRA advises UK buyers to use only UK-registered pharmacies. Check that each strip names Intas Pharmaceuticals and shows both strengths, a batch number and an expiry date, and reject strips that are damaged, unsealed or unmarked. These checks cannot prove a product is genuine, because counterfeiters copy packaging. If a batch causes unusual symptoms, stop using it, seek medical advice, and report it to your medicines regulator (the MHRA Yellow Card scheme in the UK, FDA MedWatch in the US, the TGA in Australia or Health Canada) as well as to us.
Delivery
We ship Dejac-T to the US, UK, Australia and Canada in plain packaging with tracking. Standard delivery takes 7 to 14 business days to most countries. Shipping costs a flat $25 on orders under $149 and is free from $149. See our shipping page and refund policy.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Dejac-T?
Dejac-T is a tablet from India, sold by Intas Pharmaceuticals, that combines tadalafil 10 mg, for erectile dysfunction, with dapoxetine 30 mg, for premature ejaculation. The "40mg" shown as the strength on our listing is the two doses added together. It is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, EMA, TGA or Health Canada. India approved tadalafil with dapoxetine tablets, including 10 mg plus 30 mg, in 2019 for men aged 18 to 64 with both conditions.
Is Dejac-T the same as Cialis?
No. The tadalafil dose is the same as Cialis 10 mg, but Dejac-T adds dapoxetine, a short-acting SSRI that delays ejaculation and does nothing for erections. The European Priligy (dapoxetine) product information says dapoxetine should not be used with PDE5 inhibitors such as tadalafil, because together they may cause a drop in blood pressure on standing. If your only problem is erections, a tadalafil-only tablet is the right product.
How much does Dejac-T cost per tablet?
As of October 2026 it costs $2.50 a tablet in the 32 and 60 packs and $2.23 in the 92 pack, before shipping. Shipping is $25 under $149, so the 32 pack works out at $3.28 a tablet; the 60 and 92 packs ship free.
How do I take Dejac-T?
Swallow one tablet whole with a full glass of water 1 to 3 hours before sex, with or without food. Take no more than one tablet in 24 hours, do not drink alcohol or take recreational drugs with it, avoid grapefruit juice for 24 hours before, and never combine it with another erection or dapoxetine product. Tadalafil needs sexual stimulation to work.
Is Dejac-T a starting dose?
Both halves sit at the label starting doses: tadalafil 10 mg is the usual starting dose for use as needed, and dapoxetine 30 mg is the starting dose for every patient. That does not make the combination recommended: the Priligy label says dapoxetine should not be used with PDE5 inhibitors. Dejac-T is not suitable for men on alpha blockers, with severe kidney impairment, and must not be taken with moderate or severe liver impairment.
How long does Dejac-T last?
The two halves last very different times. Tadalafil has a half-life of 17.5 hours, and the label says it improved erectile function for up to 36 hours in studies of 10 mg and 20 mg. Dapoxetine is timed 1 to 3 hours before sex, and its levels fall quickly after the first few hours. Do not take a second tablet within 24 hours.
Are there stronger tadalafil and dapoxetine tablets?
Yes. Products such as Super Vidalista contain tadalafil 20 mg with dapoxetine 60 mg. The Priligy product information says treatment should not be started with 60 mg of dapoxetine, and the dose goes up only if 30 mg did not work well enough without moderate or severe side effects or warning signs of fainting. Any increase is a decision for your doctor, never one to make yourself, and Super Vidalista also doubles the tadalafil to 20 mg. We would not recommend a 60 mg combination for a man who has not taken dapoxetine before.
What are the side effects of Dejac-T?
Tadalafil 10 mg commonly causes headache (11%), indigestion (8%), back pain (5%) and muscle aches (4%). Dapoxetine 30 mg commonly causes nausea (11.0%), dizziness (5.8%), headache (5.6%) and diarrhoea (3.5%). Dapoxetine can also cause fainting, mostly within 3 hours of a dose and sometimes without warning.
Who should not take Dejac-T?
Anyone using nitrates or poppers, riociguat, or allergic to either drug; men with heart failure, heart conduction problems, significant heart disease, a history of fainting, mania or severe depression; men taking antidepressants or other serotonin-acting medicines, or potent CYP3A4 inhibitors; men with moderate or severe liver impairment; and, under the UK and EU tadalafil label, men with a recent heart attack or stroke, unstable angina, blood pressure below 90/50 or past NAION. The Priligy label also says dapoxetine should not be used with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, current depression, under 18, or with PDE5 inhibitors such as tadalafil.
Do I need a prescription for Dejac-T?
Yes, for both drugs. Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in the US, Australia and Canada, and in the UK apart from Cialis Together 10 mg. Dapoxetine is prescription-only in the UK and Australia, where it is licensed as Priligy, and is not approved by the FDA or Health Canada. No tadalafil and dapoxetine combination is licensed in these countries. In the US, the FDA says personal importation of unapproved medicines is illegal in most circumstances.
How long does delivery take?
We ship to the US, UK, Australia and Canada in plain packaging with tracking. Standard delivery takes 7 to 14 business days. Shipping is a flat $25 on orders under $149 and free from $149.
