What is Efcure 600mg?

Efcure 600mg is an Indian brand of efavirenz, an HIV medicine (non nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor). Each tablet contains efavirenz 600 mg. It is made in India by Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for efavirenz tablets (DailyMed), efavirenz is used for HIV-1 infection, together with other antiretroviral medicines, in adults and in children at least 3 months old who weigh at least 3.5 kg. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.

Packs and price

Prescription status

Efavirenz is a prescription medicine in the US, UK and Canada. In Australia, the Stocrin brand has been cancelled from the ARTG. Efcure 600mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
