About Lametec DT 100mg
What is Lametec DT 100mg?
Lametec DT 100mg is an Indian brand of lamotrigine, an antiepileptic medicine in dispersible tablets. Each dispersible tablet contains lamotrigine 100 mg. It is made in India by Cipla Limited.
What it is used for
According to the UK SmPC for Lamictal chewable/dispersible tablets (emc), lamotrigine is used for epilepsy (partial and generalised seizures, including tonic clonic seizures, and seizures linked to Lennox Gastaut syndrome) in adults and adolescents 13 years and older, add on treatment of these seizures in children 2 to 12 years, typical absence seizures in children on its own, and preventing depressive episodes in adults with bipolar I disorder who have mainly depressive episodes. The US label for lamotrigine carries a boxed warning about serious skin rashes, including Stevens Johnson syndrome, which can be life threatening; the risk is higher in children and with fast dose increases or valproate. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
Packs and price
Lametec DT 100mg comes in packs of 30, 60 and 90 tablets. The lowest price works out at about $0.70 per tablet on the 90 tablet pack, as of October 2026; the pack selector shows the current price. Shipping is $25 on orders under $149 and free from $149.
Prescription status
Lamotrigine is a prescription medicine in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. Lametec DT 100mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
