What is Vomistop 10mg?

Vomistop 10mg is an Indian brand of domperidone, a dopamine blocking anti sickness medicine. Each tablet contains domperidone 10 mg. It is made in India by Cipla Limited.

What it is used for

According to the UK SmPC for Domperidone 10 mg Tablets (Bristol Laboratories, PL 17907/0096), domperidone is used for relief of the symptoms of nausea and vomiting in adults and adolescents 12 years and older who weigh at least 35 kg. The UK SmPC warns that domperidone may raise the risk of serious heart rhythm problems and sudden cardiac death, with a higher risk in people over 60, at daily doses above 30 mg, and with some other medicines that affect heart rhythm, so it is used at the lowest dose for the shortest time, usually for no longer than one week. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.

Prescription status

Domperidone is a prescription medicine in the UK, Australia and Canada. It is not an FDA approved medicine in the US. The FDA says that importing unapproved medicines for personal use is illegal in most circumstances, so check the rules where you live.
