What is Deplatt 75mg?

Deplatt 75mg is an Indian brand of clopidogrel, an antiplatelet medicine (P2Y12 inhibitor). Each tablet contains clopidogrel 75 mg. It is made in India by Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Plavix (DailyMed), clopidogrel is used for lowering the rate of heart attack and stroke in acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina or heart attack, together with aspirin) and in people with a recent heart attack, a recent stroke or established peripheral arterial disease. The US label carries a boxed warning that clopidogrel works less well in people who carry two inactive copies of the CYP2C19 gene (poor metabolizers); a test can identify them and another medicine may be considered. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
