What is Entavir 1mg?

Entavir 1mg is an Indian brand of entecavir, an antiviral medicine for hepatitis B. Each tablet contains entecavir 1 mg. It is made in India by Cipla Limited.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Baraclude (DailyMed), entecavir is used for chronic hepatitis B in adults and children 2 years and older with active virus replication and either raised liver enzymes or active liver disease on biopsy. The US label carries a boxed warning that hepatitis B can flare severely after entecavir is stopped, that it is not recommended for people with untreated HIV, and about lactic acidosis and severe liver enlargement. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
