What is Midorise 5mg?

Midorise 5mg is an Indian brand of midodrine, an alpha agonist that raises blood pressure. Each tablet contains midodrine 5 mg. It is made in India by Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for midodrine hydrochloride tablets (DailyMed), midodrine is used for symptomatic orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure on standing) in people whose daily life is considerably impaired despite standard care. The US label carries a boxed warning that midodrine can cause a marked rise in blood pressure when lying down, so it is used only when daily life is considerably impaired despite standard care, and that its clinical benefit has not yet been confirmed. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.

Prescription status
