What is Prasita 10mg?

Prasita 10mg is an Indian brand of prasugrel, an antiplatelet medicine (P2Y12 inhibitor). Each tablet contains prasugrel 10 mg. It is made in India by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Effient (DailyMed), prasugrel is used for lowering the rate of clot related heart events, including stent clots, in people with acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina or heart attack) who are treated with a coronary stent procedure (PCI). The US label carries a boxed warning about significant, sometimes fatal bleeding; it must not be used by people with active bleeding or a past stroke or mini stroke (TIA), and is generally not recommended at 75 years and older. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
