What is Rexipra 10mg?

Rexipra 10mg is an Indian brand of escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. Each tablet contains escitalopram 10 mg. It is made in India by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Lexapro (DailyMed), escitalopram is used for major depressive disorder in adults and children 12 years and older, and generalized anxiety disorder in adults and children 7 years and older. The US label carries a boxed warning that antidepressants increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in children, teenagers and young adults in short term studies, so anyone taking it should be watched closely for worsening mood or new suicidal thoughts. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
