What is Venlor-XR 150mg?

Venlor-XR 150mg is an Indian brand of venlafaxine, a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressant in extended release capsules. Each capsule contains venlafaxine 150 mg. It is made in India by Cipla Limited.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Effexor XR (DailyMed), venlafaxine is used for major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and panic disorder in adults. The US label carries a boxed warning that antidepressants increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in children, teenagers and young adults in short term studies, so anyone taking it should be watched closely for worsening mood or new suicidal thoughts. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
