What is Arnicor 200mg?

Arnicor 200mg is an Indian brand of sacubitril and valsartan, a combination of a neprilysin inhibitor and an angiotensin II receptor blocker. Each tablet contains sacubitril 97 mg and valsartan 103 mg (200 mg in total). It is made in India by Cipla Limited.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Entresto (DailyMed), sacubitril and valsartan is used for reducing the risk of cardiovascular death and hospital stays for heart failure in adults with chronic heart failure (the benefit is clearest when the left ventricular ejection fraction is below normal), and symptomatic heart failure with left ventricular systolic dysfunction in children aged 1 year and older. The US label carries a boxed warning that medicines acting on the renin angiotensin system can injure or cause the death of an unborn baby, so sacubitril and valsartan should be stopped as soon as pregnancy is found. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.

Prescription status

Sacubitril and valsartan is a prescription medicine in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. Arnicor 200mg itself is an India made pack and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada.
