What is Atorva 20mg?

Atorva 20mg is an Indian brand of atorvastatin, a statin that lowers cholesterol. Each tablet contains atorvastatin 20 mg. It is made in India by Zydus Cadila Pharma.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Lipitor (DailyMed), atorvastatin is used for lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, heart procedures and angina in adults with several heart disease risk factors, lowering the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults with type 2 diabetes and several risk factors, lowering the risk of these events and of heart failure hospital stays in adults with heart disease, and, together with diet, lowering LDL cholesterol in adults with high cholesterol and in adults and children 10 years and older with inherited (familial) high cholesterol; it is also used with diet for some high triglyceride conditions. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
