What is Axcer 60mg?

Axcer 60mg is an Indian brand of ticagrelor, an antiplatelet medicine (P2Y12 inhibitor). Each tablet contains ticagrelor 60 mg. It is made in India by AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Brilinta (DailyMed), ticagrelor is used for lowering the risk of cardiovascular death, heart attack and stroke in people with acute coronary syndrome or a past heart attack, lowering the risk of a first heart attack or stroke in people with coronary artery disease at high risk, and lowering the risk of stroke after a minor ischemic stroke or high risk transient ischemic attack (TIA). The US label carries a boxed warning about serious, sometimes fatal bleeding, and says that stopping it early raises the risk of heart events. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
