What is Ciplox 750mg?

Ciplox 750mg is an Indian brand of ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Each tablet contains ciprofloxacin 750 mg. It is made by Cipla Limited in India.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for ciprofloxacin tablets (DailyMed), ciprofloxacin is used for adult infections of the skin, bones and joints, abdomen (with metronidazole), urinary tract, lower airways and sinuses, plus infectious diarrhea, typhoid fever, uncomplicated gonorrhea, chronic bacterial prostatitis, and inhalational anthrax and plague after exposure. The US label carries a boxed warning about tendon rupture, nerve damage, effects on the brain and worsening of myasthenia gravis, and reserves it for some mild infections only when no other option is suitable. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
