What is Cordarone 100mg?

Cordarone 100mg is amiodarone, an antiarrhythmic medicine, sold in India under the Cordarone brand name by Sanofi India Limited. Each tablet contains amiodarone 100 mg.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Pacerone (DailyMed), amiodarone is used for documented, life threatening recurrent ventricular fibrillation and unstable ventricular tachycardia in adults when other heart rhythm medicines have not worked or cannot be tolerated. The US label carries a boxed warning about lung damage, liver damage and worsening heart rhythm problems that can be fatal; treatment is started where heart monitoring is available. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
