What is Dabibrook 110mg?

Dabibrook 110mg is an Indian brand of dabigatran etexilate, an anticoagulant (direct thrombin inhibitor). Each capsule contains dabigatran etexilate 110 mg. It is made in India by Healing Pharma.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Pradaxa capsules (DailyMed), dabigatran etexilate is used for preventing deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism after hip replacement in adults, which is the adult use of the 110 mg capsule on the US label (atrial fibrillation and clot treatment in adults use 150 mg), and, in weight based doses, treating blood clots in children 8 to under 18 years. The US label carries a boxed warning that stopping it early raises the risk of blood clots and stroke, and that bleeding around the spine (spinal or epidural hematoma), which can cause lasting paralysis, can happen in people who have spinal anesthesia or a spinal puncture.
