What is Frenin 10mg?

Frenin 10mg is an Indian brand of phenylephrine hydrochloride, an alpha 1 adrenergic agonist (vasopressor). Each ampoule contains phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg, which is diluted before intravenous use. It is made in India by Samarth Life Sciences Pvt Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Biorphen (DailyMed), phenylephrine hydrochloride is used for clinically important low blood pressure caused mainly by widening of blood vessels during anaesthesia. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.

Prescription status
