What is Irovel 150mg?

Irovel 150mg is an Indian brand of irbesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Each tablet contains irbesartan 150 mg. It is made in India by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Avapro (DailyMed), irbesartan is used for high blood pressure, and kidney disease caused by diabetes in people with high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, raised creatinine and protein in the urine. The US label carries a boxed warning: medicines that act on the renin angiotensin system can harm or kill an unborn baby, so it is stopped as soon as pregnancy is found. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
