What is Listril 5mg?

Listril 5mg is an Indian brand of lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor. Each tablet contains lisinopril 5 mg. It is made in India by Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for Zestril (DailyMed), lisinopril is used for high blood pressure in adults and children 6 years and older, as an add on treatment for heart failure, and to lower the risk of death in stable patients within 24 hours of a heart attack. The US label carries a boxed warning: medicines that act on the renin angiotensin system can harm or kill an unborn baby, so it is stopped as soon as pregnancy is found. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
