What is Zytanix 2.5mg?

Zytanix 2.5mg is an Indian brand of metolazone, a quinazoline diuretic. Each tablet contains metolazone 2.5 mg. It is made in India by Zydus Cadila Pharma.

What it is used for

According to the US FDA label for metolazone tablets (DailyMed), metolazone is used for salt and fluid retention (edema) linked to heart failure or kidney disease, including nephrotic syndrome, and high blood pressure, alone or with other medicines. The US label carries a boxed warning that metolazone products with slow, incomplete absorption (such as Zaroxolyn) and the more rapidly and completely absorbed Mykrox are not equivalent at the same dose and must not be swapped for each other. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
