What is Olmesar 10mg?

Olmesar 10mg is an Indian brand of olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Each tablet contains olmesartan medoxomil 10 mg. It is made in India by Macleods Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd.

What it is used for

According to the UK SmPC for Olmetec film coated tablets (emc), olmesartan medoxomil is used for essential high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults, and high blood pressure in children and teenagers aged 6 to under 18 years. The US label carries a boxed warning that medicines acting on the renin angiotensin system can injure or cause the death of an unborn baby, so olmesartan should be stopped as soon as pregnancy is found. Your doctor decides whether it suits you.
