About Tadalista 20mg

Tadalista 20 is an Indian tadalafil tablet from Fortune Healthcare, the company behind Fildena. Each tablet is labelled to contain 20 mg of tadalafil, the active ingredient and the strength of Cialis 20 mg. We sell it in packs of 90, 120, 150 and 300 tablets, from $0.72 a tablet in the largest pack.

Tadalafil's selling point is its long window: in trials, a 20 mg dose still improved results 36 hours later. This page covers the price per tablet, how Tadalista compares with Cialis and US generics, whether 20 mg or a lower strength suits you, how to take it, the side effects in the tadalafil label, who must not take it, and how delivery works. Clinical figures come from the US prescribing information for Cialis (tadalafil), listed at the end.

Tadalista 20 compared with Cialis and US generics

Tadalista 20, Cialis 20 mg and FDA-approved generic tadalafil 20 mg contain the same molecule at the same labelled strength. Cialis was approved on clinical trial evidence, US generics had to prove bioequivalence to it, and the FDA inspects the manufacturing of both. Tadalista has not been assessed by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada.

Is 20 mg the right strength?

The tadalafil label recommends 10 mg before sex for most men, allows a move up to 20 mg or down to 5 mg depending on effect and side effects, and sets 20 mg as the maximum for use as needed. For daily use it recommends 2.5 mg, rising to 5 mg if needed. In 11 pooled trials, 20 mg gave more successful attempts than 10 mg (68% against 58%, with 31% on placebo). The European Medicines Agency judged that difference "rather marginal", with only a few men expected to gain more from 20 mg than from 10 mg. Headache (15% against 11%) and indigestion (10% against 8%) were slightly more common on 20 mg.

Tadalista also comes as a chewable tablet (Tadalista CT), a tablet placed under the tongue (Tadalista Professional) and a soft gel (Tadalista Super Active), all with 20 mg of tadalafil. We found no published evidence that any of these forms works faster than a standard tablet. A study in healthy men found that a tadalafil mouth-dissolving film was absorbed no differently from a standard 20 mg tablet.

How to take Tadalista 20

  • Swallow one tablet whole at least 30 minutes before sex, with or without food. The tadalafil label says tablets should not be split. In a label study, 52% of men on 20 mg had a successful erection within 30 minutes of a dose, against 35% on placebo. Blood levels peak between 30 minutes and 6 hours after a dose (median 2 hours), so the effect may build after that.
  • Take no more than one dose a day, and never combine it with daily tadalafil or with a sildenafil, vardenafil or avanafil product.
  • It works only with sexual stimulation. It does not cause an erection on its own.
  • Avoid heavy drinking: the label warns that 5 or more units of alcohol with tadalafil can increase the chance of dizziness, a faster heart rate, a fall in blood pressure on standing, and headache.

Tadalafil's average half-life is 17.5 hours. In one label trial of 20 mg, 61% of men had at least one successful attempt about 24 hours after a dose against 37% on placebo, and 64% against 37% at about 36 hours. Our tadalafil vs sildenafil comparison sets the timing beside sildenafil's.

Lower doses or longer gaps for some men

  • Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole or ritonavir: no more than 10 mg, once every 72 hours. The patient information also names the antibiotics clarithromycin, telithromycin and erythromycin, and grapefruit juice is also likely to raise tadalafil levels.
  • Medicines that lower tadalafil levels: rifampicin cut tadalafil exposure by 88% in a label study, and carbamazepine, phenytoin and phenobarbital are likely to lower it too, so tadalafil may work less well.
  • Kidney impairment: in label studies, tadalafil exposure doubled in people with creatinine clearance of 30 to 80 mL/min. With 30 to 50 mL/min, start at 5 mg and take no more than 10 mg once every 48 hours; below 30 mL/min or on dialysis, no more than 5 mg once every 72 hours.
  • Liver impairment: mild or moderate, no more than 10 mg a day; severe, not recommended.
  • Alpha blockers (for example doxazosin, tamsulosin or alfuzosin): be stable on the alpha blocker first, then start at the lowest recommended dose. The UK and EU label does not recommend tadalafil with doxazosin at all, because the combination can lower blood pressure enough to cause fainting.
  • Blood pressure medicines: tadalafil can add to their blood pressure lowering effect.

For men taking potent CYP3A4 inhibitors or with kidney or liver impairment, 20 mg is above the labelled maximum, so Tadalista 20 is not suitable, and the label says tablets should not be split. Men on alpha blockers should start at the lowest dose. Men on other blood pressure medicines should check with a doctor first.

Back pain and muscle aches usually started 12 to 24 hours after a dose and settled within 48 hours, so they can appear the day after sex. Changes in colour vision, such as a blue tinge, were rare, reported by fewer than 0.1% of men across all tadalafil studies.

When to get urgent help

  • An erection lasting more than 4 hours, whether painful or not. Without prompt treatment it can permanently damage the penis and cause lasting erectile dysfunction.
  • Sudden loss or reduction of vision in one or both eyes. Stop taking tadalafil and get medical help straight away.
  • Sudden loss or reduction of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears or dizziness. Stop taking tadalafil and get prompt medical attention.
  • Chest pain or other symptoms when starting sex: stop and get medical help right away.
  • Signs of an allergic reaction: rash, hives, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
  • Fainting.
  • If you take more than one tablet, contact a doctor or emergency department straight away.

If you need emergency care for chest pain, tell the staff that you took tadalafil and when. Because tadalafil lasts so long, the label says at least 48 hours should pass after the last dose before a nitrate is considered, even in a life-threatening situation, and only with close monitoring.

Who should not take Tadalista 20

  • Anyone using nitrates in any form, regularly or occasionally, including nitroglycerin sprays, tablets or patches for angina, and amyl or butyl nitrite "poppers".
  • Anyone taking a guanylate cyclase stimulator such as riociguat (Adempas) or vericiguat (Verquvo).
  • Anyone who has had a serious allergic reaction to tadalafil. Serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome, have been reported.
  • Men for whom sex is inadvisable because of a heart condition. These groups were not included in the trials: men who had a heart attack in the last 90 days or a stroke in the last 6 months, men with unstable angina or angina during sex, heart failure (NYHA class 2 or worse) in the last 6 months, uncontrolled arrhythmias, blood pressure below 90/50, or uncontrolled high blood pressure. The UK and EU Cialis label lists these groups as contraindications; the US label says tadalafil is not recommended for them.
  • Anyone who has lost vision in one eye from NAION (a sudden loss of blood flow to the optic nerve). The UK and EU label lists this as a contraindication; the US label says to use tadalafil only with caution, when the expected benefits outweigh the risks.

Heart attack, sudden cardiac death and stroke have been reported in men taking tadalafil, mostly in men who already had heart risk factors, and many during or soon after sex.

Do not combine it with Adcirca (tadalafil for pulmonary hypertension), another PDE5 inhibitor, or other erectile dysfunction treatments. Talk to a doctor first if you have aortic stenosis or another obstruction to blood flow out of the heart, a deformed penis (angulation or Peyronie's disease), a condition that raises the risk of prolonged erections (sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma, leukaemia), a bleeding disorder or an active stomach ulcer. The label does not recommend tadalafil for men with hereditary retinal disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa. Tadalista is for adult men only, and it does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.

Prescription and legal status

Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in the US, Australia and Canada, and in the UK apart from Cialis Together 10 mg, which pharmacies can sell after a consultation. Tadalista is not licensed by the FDA, the MHRA, the TGA or Health Canada. In the US, the FDA says personal importation of unapproved medicines is illegal in most circumstances. We recommend seeing a doctor before using tadalafil, especially if you have heart disease or take regular medicines, and checking the rules where you live before ordering.

Buying genuine Tadalista

The MHRA warns that any medicine not authorised for sale in the UK, which includes Tadalista, can be unsafe or ineffective, that there is no way of knowing what is in them, and that erectile dysfunction pills bought online may contain no active ingredient, the wrong dose, hidden drugs or toxic ingredients. It adds that unlicensed erectile dysfunction medicines can be especially dangerous for people with heart disease or high blood pressure or who take other medicines, and it advises UK buyers to use only UK-registered pharmacies. When your order arrives, check that each strip names Fortune Healthcare and shows a batch number and an expiry date, and reject strips that are damaged, unsealed or unmarked. These checks cannot prove a product is genuine on their own, because counterfeiters copy packaging. If a batch causes unusual symptoms, stop using it, seek medical advice, and report it to your medicines regulator (the MHRA Yellow Card scheme in the UK, FDA MedWatch in the US, the TGA in Australia or Health Canada) as well as to us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tadalista 20?

Tadalista 20 is an Indian tadalafil tablet from Fortune Healthcare. Each tablet is labelled to contain 20 mg of tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis, at the same strength as Cialis 20 mg. It is used for erectile dysfunction and is not approved by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada.

Is Tadalista the same as Cialis?

It contains the same molecule at the same strength, but it is a different product. Cialis was approved on clinical trials, and US generics had to prove bioequivalence to it. Tadalista has not been assessed by the FDA, MHRA, TGA or Health Canada, so its quality depends on the manufacturer and the supply chain.

How much does Tadalista 20 cost per tablet?

As of October 2026 it costs $0.93 a tablet in the 90 pack, $0.88 in the 120 pack, $0.85 in the 150 pack and $0.72 in the 300 pack, before shipping. Shipping is $25 on orders under $149, so the 300 pack is the only one that ships free on its own.

How do I take Tadalista 20?

Swallow one tablet whole at least 30 minutes before sex, with or without food, no more than once a day. In a label study, 52% of men on 20 mg had a successful erection within 30 minutes (35% on placebo), and blood levels peak at a median of 2 hours. It works only with sexual stimulation. Avoid heavy drinking, and never combine it with another erectile dysfunction medicine.

How long does Tadalista 20 last?

Tadalafil's average half-life is 17.5 hours. In a label trial of 20 mg, 61% of men had at least one successful attempt about 24 hours after a dose against 37% on placebo, and 64% against 37% at about 36 hours.

Should I take 10 mg or 20 mg?

The tadalafil label recommends 10 mg for most men and allows 20 mg as the maximum. In pooled trials, 20 mg gave more successful attempts than 10 mg (68% against 58%), but the European Medicines Agency judged the difference rather marginal, and headache and indigestion were a little more common on 20 mg. Men with kidney or liver problems or on certain medicines have limits that rule out a 20 mg tablet.

Is a higher strength better than 20 mg?

No dose above 20 mg is approved for erectile dysfunction. Early dose-finding studies tested 2 mg to 100 mg; 100 mg was the worst tolerated, and no study has tested higher doses in men who did not respond to 10 or 20 mg. If 20 mg taken correctly does not work, check timing and alcohol first, then see a doctor, who may suggest daily dosing or a different medicine.

Do Tadalista CT, Professional or Super Active work faster?

We found no published evidence that chewable, under-the-tongue or soft gel forms of tadalafil work faster than a standard tablet, and a study of a tadalafil mouth-dissolving film found it was absorbed no differently from a standard tablet. All three contain 20 mg of tadalafil, the same dose as Tadalista 20.

What are the side effects of Tadalista 20?

In the label's trials of 20 mg, the most common side effects were headache (15% against 5% on placebo), indigestion (10%), back pain (6%) and muscle aches (3%). Back pain and muscle aches usually start 12 to 24 hours after a dose. Get urgent help for an erection lasting over 4 hours or sudden vision or hearing loss.

Who should not take Tadalista 20?

Never take it with nitrates in any form, including nitroglycerin and poppers, or with riociguat or vericiguat, or if you are allergic to tadalafil. The label does not recommend it after a recent heart attack or stroke, with unstable angina, heart failure, uncontrolled arrhythmias, very low or uncontrolled blood pressure, or retinitis pigmentosa. Men on strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or with kidney or liver impairment have limits below 20 mg. Talk to a doctor first if you have other heart or eye problems.

Do I need a prescription, and how long does delivery take?

Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in the US, Australia and Canada, and in the UK apart from Cialis Together 10 mg. Tadalista is not licensed in any of these countries, so check the rules where you live. We ship in plain packaging with tracking; standard delivery takes 7 to 14 business days.
